The Commish's Mock Draft 2.0 (Pre-Free Agency) Continued...

17. Baltimore Ravens – Morgan Moses – OT - Virginia
Commish's Comments:
The Ravens might lose both of their starting offensive tackles to free agency. Moses is a massive tackle with nimble feet who had a very good week at the senior bowl.

18. New York Jets – Kelvin Benjamin – WR – FSU
Commish's Comments:
The Jets need more reliable weapons on offense. Benjamin is a massive receiver with enough speed to get downfield and more than enough size to out-match opposing corners. Benjamin is a reliable target even when covered.

19. Miami Dolphins – Zack Martin – OT – Notre Dame
Commish's Comments:
C'mon, the Dolphins have to take an offensive lineman. Zack Martin can play either tackle or guard. He is a nasty and physical player who is slightly undersized at 6'4'' 300 lbs. His workman-like attitude is what the Dolphins offensive line needs.

20. Arizona Cardinals – Anthony Barr - DE/OLB - UCLA
Commish's Comments:
I'm not as high on Barr as others. I think he is a very athletic player with the build of a top-notch player who passes the eye test. For me, Barr is not physical enough, at all. I think he is a luxury pick here for the Cardinals who need more youth coming off the edge.

21. Green Bay Packers –  Darqueze Dennard - CB - Michigan St.
Commish's Comments:
With Sam Shields likely gone in free agency, the Packers need a corner to play opposite of Tramon Williams. Any time I watched a Michigan State game last year, I always noticed Dennard because he just looked different from everyone else. He looked like an NFL player. Dennard is a physical corner who can match up with receivers in bump coverage or play zone coverage and come up to make clutch tackles.

22. Philadelphia Eagles – Calvin Pryor – S – Louisville
Commish's Comments:
The Eagles will hope that Pryor makes it this far to them. They have a big need at safety, and Pryor has proven himself to be one of the top safeties in this draft with his size and speed.

23. Kansas City Chiefs –  David Yankey – OG – Stanford
Commish's Comments:
The Chiefs might lose both of their starting guards in free agency. Andy Reid has a LONG history of taking offensive lineman in the 1st round of drafts. Why stop now? Yankey is the top guard available and could start immediately for the Chiefs.

24. Cincinnati Bengals – Kony Ealy – DE – Missouri
Commish's Comments:
With Michael Johnson likely gone in free agency and rumors that Carlos Dunlap could be released, Ealy seems like a safe and right pick for the Bengals. Ealy is not a special athlete, but he has a knack for getting to the quarterback. His teammate, Michael Sam, might get more publicity, but Ealy is the far better player.

25. San Diego Chargers – Kyle Fuller - CB - Virginia Tech
Commish's Comments: Fuller is a fast and physical corner who instantly helps one of the worst secondaries in the NFL.

26. Cleveland Browns (via IND) – Odell Beckham Jr. – WR – LSU
Commish's Comments:
With Josh Gordon and Odell Beckham Jr. to throw to, the Browns are starting to put together an exciting offense led by their 1st pick in Teddy Bridgewater.

27. New Orleans Saints – Dee Ford – DE – Auburn
Commish's Comments:
I think Dee Ford might be one of the more underrated pass rushers in this draft. He possesses everything I look for in an edge rusher from speed to strength to athleticism. This would be a dream scenario for Rob Ryan and the Saints defense.

28. Carolina Panthers – Marquis Lee – WR – USC
Commish's Comments:
It is possible that Steve Smith might be released by the Panthers. Without smith, Cam Newton would not have any reliable receivers to throw to. Lee is more quick than he is fast, but runs very good routes, knows how to get open, and has soft hands.

29. New England Patriots – Bradley Roby – CB – Ohio St.
Commish's Comments:
The Patriots have a need at corner with Aqib Talib possibly gone. Even if he stays they have a need there. Roby is as naturally talented as any corner in this draft. Once Bill Belichick gets the "ok" from his buddy Urban Meyer, you can almost guarantee Roby will be the pick here.

30. San Francisco 49ers – Louis Nix – DT – Notre Dame
Commish's Comments:
The 49ers relied on Glenn Dorsey as their nose tackle last year. Nix is younger, bigger, stronger, and more athletic. The 49ers defense could get much better with this selection.

31. Denver Broncos – Ryan Shazier - LB - Ohio St.
Commish's Comments:
Shazier would add speed and athleticism to the Broncos linebacker corps.

32. Seattle Seahawks – Stephon Tuitt – DE – Notre Dame
Commish's Comments:
The Seahawks will try to resign Michael Bennett, but if they don't, and after they already released Red Bryant, there could be a need at defensive lineman for a team that likes to load up on them. Tuitt has excellent size (6'6'' 310 lbs) and would be an excellent fit for the Seahawks defense. The Seahawks have been an organization that loves elite measurables, and Tuitt possesses just that.
