Senior citizen discounts make it easier to entertain grandparents when tight budgets are involved. Gator Buffet is a sushi and hibachi restaurant is downtown New Port Richey. The food options include Chinese and American food such as pizza, pasta, sushi, prime rib, snow crab legs and more. This is an all-you-can-eat buffet that allows children under the age of three to eat free with a paying adult. The Gator Buffet restaurant is handicap accessible.

Bealls Department Store offers senior citizens a 15 percent discount on all purchases every Tuesday with a valid I.D. All purchases made by a senior citizen qualify for the discount. With the clearance racks and markdowns on merchandise found throughout the store, senior citizens can walk out of Bealls with some great new stuff for only a small amount of money. Bealls Department store is handicap accessible and offers many handicap parking spaces near the entrance of the store.

The SS American Victory is one of our country's last four fully operational WWII ships. It has been turned into a nine deck, 455-foot by 109-foot museum dedicated to honoring the men and women that built and sailed these great ships since 1775. Visitors can view rare artifacts, uniforms, medals, exhibits, documents and photos from the maritime history of our nation. Experience what it was like on board the ship by visiting the radio room, weapons and steering stations, crew quarters and captains quarters and the enormous cargo holds.

Visit The Florida Aquarium and experience large sharks swimming in a natural coral reef setting along with sea turtles and moray eels. See river otters, free-flying birds and many other marine animals from throughout the world. There are also touch tanks for the more adventurous visitors. The Florida Aquarium is handicap accessible throughout the entire exhibition.

The Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa offers activities for visitors of all ages. Visit one of MOSI's newest attractions, MISSION: Moonbase, and discover what it would be like to live inside a lunar colony. Visitors can also take part in Disasterville, where they can discover the science behind hurricanes, tornadoes and more. For the adventurous seniors, and other visitors, check out the High Wire Bike and ride a bicycle across a 98-foot-long steel cable that has been suspended 30 feet above the ground. There is also a ropes course, a butterfly garden, a human body exhibition and many more exhibits to explore. MOSI is handicap accessible at the east, west and south entrances. Visitors in need of a wheelchair can borrow one from the box office in the main library. Service animals are also welcome in many of the exhibits at MOSI.
