There's more to this award-winning coffee house than just beverages. Felicitous takes pride in showcasing and selling artwork created by local independent artists. On any given day, you can find an assortment of paintings, pencil drawings, hand-made purses and jewelry. Earrings with video game characters dangling from the ends, squid necklaces fashioned from clay and purses made out of recycled denim are just a few of the unique and creative gems you can find at Felicitous. RedLetter1 is actually a custom tattoo studio but also features an art gallery with rotating exhibits. RedLetter1 has been featuring local Tampa-area artists since 2005 and has showcased the work of Aaron Nagel and Erik Jones entitled "Insert Metaphor Here," "Out-of-Print" by Jeremy Fish and "Day Labor" by Reyes. The paintings portray subjects such as dragons, roses, wolves, tigers, angels and more. Individual works may range in price from $25 to $60. The studio is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., but individual appointments outside of "open hours" can be made as needed.

Transitions is in a small space behind the Skatepark of Tampa and hosts both regular art exhibits and live music events. The art gallery's purpose is to provide support to local community artists of all mediums. According to the Transitions website, the venue allows those that adhere to a more traditional work or school schedule to enjoy what the local art community has to offer by keeping door prices low -- usually $5 -- and starting most events at 8 p.m. This benefits both the artists and the community.

NOVA is a private venue that hosts corporate events, VIP parties, weddings and receptions in addition to events that are open to the public. Artwork on display includes original oil paintings, giclees and photography. You can find art encompassing just about any subject, from plants and animals to superheroes and aliens. Virtually all of the artwork that is on display is for sale, with new pieces being rotated in every 60 to 90 days. Some art is global, but most art is contributed by local talent.

Vitale Art Studio is more than just paintings. This place produces custom murals, graphic designs and three-dimensional design pieces in addition to the traditional art on display in the gallery. If you have an idea you want to bring to life, Vitale can make that happen. Or, if you just want to browse dozens of paintings and other works of art, you can take a stroll through the gallery. Vitale also hosts all types of events that are open to the public including live music, sidewalk chalk art contests and block parties. All proceeds go to promote local art.
