(AUDIO) Roy Cummings Says if Real, the Patriots Bucs Practice Would've Been a Close, High Scoring Game

Roy Cummings 8-13

Roy Cummings from the Tampa Tribune, joined Booger and guest host Scott Reynolds from Pewter Report live from New England to break down the Buccaneers Patriots joint practice that took place on Tuesday morning.

Cummings said that Tom Brady picked on Johnthan Banks a little bit in practice and probably got the better of the rookie, but Cummings said it was a great learning day for the Bucs first round draft pick.

Doug Martin ran the ball all over the Patriots according to Cummings and if it had been a real football game, he says it may have been a high scoring close final.

With Da'Quan Bowers being demoted to the 2nd team in practice, Cummings said that we won't know if that is a permanent move until the Bucs play the Patriots in Week 2 of the preseason on Friday. Today, Cummings said Bowers was working with the 1st team quite a bit. Part of the problem with Bowers is fatigue and Cummings said some people inside the Buccaneers organization weren't happy with Bowers' overall effort in practice.

Mark Dominick said on Tuesday that the Bucs are thinking about playing Darrelle Revis in Week 3 of the preseason against the Dolphins but Cummings said Darrelle Revis himself said we'll have to wait and see and it's too soon to know where his body will be. Cummings said that at some point, you have to get Revis out there and see what kind of work he needs to be ready for opening day against the Jets.
