(AUDIO) Perry Van Der Beck on the Final Rowdies Game of the Season

Perry Van Der Beck joined Kirk & Kage to preview the Tampa Bay Rowdies final game of the 2014 season for the Tampa Bay Rowdies.

Perry's background with the Rowdies and the Tampa Bay area runs deep. He began his playing career with the Rowdies in the original NASL as a midfielder back in the late 70's into the mid-80's. He also made 23 appearances with the U.S National Team from 1979-1985, scoring 2 goals.

He was the assistant coach of the MLS franchise Tampa Bay Mutiny from 1998-2001, named interim head coach the last 11 games of the team's existence. In 2008, he was hired as the technical director for expansion FC Tampa Bay (reached licensing agreement in Dec. 2011to become the Rowdies). And he was promoted to GM in January 2014.

The final game of the season is Saturday, November 1: Tampa Bay Rowdies vs Indy Eleven at 7:30 P.M. and will be held at Al Lang Stadium. It's also Fan Appreciation Night.

The winner of "Score with the Rowdies" Mercedes-Benz contest will also be announced at Saturday's match. If the randomly-selected winner is present at the Rowdies' regular season finale, they will not only win the car, but will also win a pair of 2015 Rowdies season tickets, as well as a team-autographed jersey and photo with the team.
