Woman Sentenced In Deadly 2015 Braddock Stabbing

BRADDOCK (KDKA) -- A 52-year-old woman plead guilty Monday in connection with a deadly 2015 stabbing in Braddock.

Constance Carey was charged with criminal homicide in the stabbing death of Deontay Hamilton.

Hamilton died from a single stab wound outside a home on Pine Alley on May 16 of last year.

Carey pleaded no contest to involuntary manslaughter, and was sentenced to 11 1/2 to 23 months in jail followed by three years probation. She was also ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and ordered to have no contact with the victim's family.

No motive was given for the stabbing, although it's believed alcohol was involved.
