Police: Bronx Man Dies After Being Struck By Livery Cab, Sanitation Truck

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for the driver of a black livery cab wanted in a deadly hit-and-run in the Morrisania section of the Bronx.

Police said the driver struck a pedestrian at Third Avenue and East 163rd Street shortly before 10 p.m. Monday night and then sped off.

The victim, 43-year-old Ronald Simpson, was then struck a second time by a private sanitation truck.

The truck driver remained at the scene until police arrived.

Simpson was pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital.

Police said no criminality was suspected regarding the sanitation truck driver.

The investigation is ongoing.
