Contrary to the city's marketing campaign, a lot of what's happening in Las Vegas this week is not staying in Vegas as thousands of TV news types filter through the annual NAB-RTNDA convention. Everything from new tech toys (a Segway steadycam?) to content issues, this is where local and network types gather to buy, sell, discuss and schmooze. I'll be taking part in a panel discussion today on the topic of "transparency" where I'll be spreading the word about Public Eye and learning what other attempts are being made to open up the editorial process of news. I'll have more on that (and anything else I might run into) later. Until then, if you're looking for a real good play-by-play of the conference, check out Lost Remote for some great wall-to-wall coverage.
