(CBS) - Following the Cardinals' improbable Game 6 win over the Texas Rangers, Lance Berkman and David Freese had plenty to talk about. The two Cardinals had major hits late in the game to tie the series and force Game 7 Friday night. Freese sums up his feelings halfway through the interview: "It's incredible to be a part of this."
"I felt pretty good about it," Berkman said about his 10th inning RBI that kept the Cardinals' dreams alive. "I was in a no-lose situation. If you don't come through right there, it's only one at bat. ... If you come through, it's the greatest."
Berkman also joked that his clutch hitting Thursday night gives him a little leeway in the clubhouse going forward. "If I don't come through tomorrow, I can be like, well I came through in Game 6, what do you want from me?"
"We just kept battling," Freese told reporters. "That defines our team."
