Many have come to prize the unmistakable pale blue boxes of Tiffany & Company. The store's Melvyn Kirtley visited The Early Show to show off some of its wares in advance of Valentine's Day, the holiday when many exchange jewelry.
Kirtley offered some gift ideas from across the Tiffany's price spectrum.
At the affordable end, there's a necklace by jewelry designer Elsa Peretti. "We've got a wonderful heart pendant from Elsa Peretti. A wonderful free-form heart on a woven mesh chain," Kirtley says. The pendant goes for $195.
In the $100 range, there's a silver razor that takes a G-2 blade, and a heart-shaped picture frame.
Moving up the price range, "These are wonderful Jean Schlumberger cuff links," he says. "They're called the Taj Mahal cuff links. They'd be wonderful for a black tie (event)." A set goes for just under $4,000.
And for big spenders? "This is actually fancy pink sapphires and diamonds, really incredible color," he says of another piece, a bracelet. "You know, sapphires don't just come in blue, they come in all different incredible colors like yellow, green and violet."
"But these pinks are great. You would see them from across the room," he says. For a mere $93,000, it could be yours to give away.
