(Episode 299; 12 minutes 39) Kelly Thompson is the COO of iStockphoto. On today's BTalk he tells Phil Dobbie how the website started life as a free site where individuals would share images for free. Less than 10 years later it is one of the most profitable user-generated sites in the world, selling an image every second. The catalogue has now been extended beyond low-cost royalty free images to include audio, video, flash and illustrations.

So what is the secret to running a business with such a huge community of contributors? How do you manage growth, particularly with regards to usability as the size of your catalogue increases?
