Turkey Saved By Adoption

One Michigan couple has given the term turkey dinner a whole new meaning. When Bob and Leslie Nason have a turkey dinner, the turkeys - adopted family pets - are guests and not the main course.

This year, the Williamston couple welcomed two turkeys from New York into their home. The birds were collected by an animal rights group called Farm Sanctuary.

Instead of being the feast, these birds got a feast of their own, including grapes, pumpkin pie and melons.

Bob Nason says you don't have to kill a turkey to enjoy life. He believes these turkeys can even show you how to enjoy life a little more.
