Colleges complain about their inaccuracy, but schools that fare half-way decent in the college rankings contest like to brag about their marks on their websites.
What you probably don't know, however, is who is responsible for the rankings' controversial methodology. The person behind the college rankings is Robert Morse, who is US News' director of data research.
At the annual conference of the National Association for College Admission Counseling last week in New Orleans, I interviewed Morse about his rankings baby.
