Tonight I'll be flying down to my adopted hometown of Austin, TX (I went to college there) to cover this year's SxSW Interactive conference, the geekiest third of the sprawling event that takes over the city for more than a week. I'll be down there during the entire interactive portion, which runs through Tuesday, listening in on some panels, checking out the speakers (including a keynote from Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg), and hanging around the various parties how cruel that this overlaps with NSAW (National Sleep Awareness Week). Major media companies from both the digital and traditional sides should be well represented, along with various startups and digital folks playing the "who will be this year's Twitter?" game. Anyone interested in meeting up or showing off something cool should definitely drop me a line at joseph AT paidcontent.org. Do note: folks willing to meet over barbecue (I know the good places), Shiner Bock or maybe even a game of table tennis will get top priority in my schedule.
