Boulder District Attorney Alex Hunter, who said John and Patsy Ramsey were under suspicion in their daughter's death, announced Wednesday that prosecutors "do not have sufficient evidence to warrant the filing of charges against anyone who has been investigated with this crime."
Nonetheless, while the Ramseys issued a statement asking that the investigation continue and saying the family "lives in a nightmare," CBS News Legal Analyst Andrew Cohen said the pair is not removed from suspicion.
"Until the district attorney comes out and says the Ramseys are no longer suspects that they are no longer under the umbrella of suspicion they will remain under that cloud," Cohen said.
Cohen acknowledged that there is evidence pointing in the direction of the Ramseys and away from them.

Bob Grant, an advisor to the Boulder district attorney, told CBS This Morning "those folks have got to be part of the investigation, either to clear them definitively, if someone else is charged, or to determine what, if any, role they had."
