After they had said their vows, the newlyweds were off to the Four Seasons Hotel in Manhattan where wedding planner Colin Cowie was making sure everything was in order for the reception of Craig and Lauren's dreams.
The reception the couple had been planning all week awaited them. The tables, the flowers, the place settings and menu cards were exactly the ones that Lauren and Craig had chosen each day on The Early Show last week.
Champagne from Perrier Jouet flowed, and guests enjoyed a three-course meal of a seafood trio appetizer, crab cakes, raspberry French toast, and a trio of desserts, topped off with Sylvia Weinstock's wedding cake.
On Monday, The Early Show checked in with the couple, who is in Philadelphia, to see how their first weekend of married life went and to give them a few post-wedding gifts like an album of photographs from the ceremony and reception courtesy of Gary Gellman. A photographer/viewer Gellman wrote in volunteering his services when he heard about the Wedding in a Week.
And the last gift was their honeymoon, a five-day trip to Singita, a game and wildlife preserve in South Africa. It was rated No.1 travel destination in the world by Conde Nast Traveler two years in a row. The couple also will spend four nights at the Ellerman House in Capetown, with round-trip, business-class tickets donated by South African Airways.
