(Episode 594; 13 minutes 35) It seems like everyone these days has a blog, whether for work purposes or for pleasure. For some, it has a serious purpose; to raise awareness, to attract customers or to establish your professional credentials. But there's also a big blog graveyard out there in cyberspace --- blogs that have been started but haven't seen an entry for months, maybe years.
So how do you develop a blog that's going to work, achieve your objectives and, importantly, be sustainable? These are a few questions I put to Darren Rowse. Darren has been blogging since 2002 and now runs Problogger, a blog about writing blogs.
We also briefly discuss monetising your blog. Yes, some people do make money out of blogging. Occasionally enough to buy lunch every so often.
