How to Scare a Customer Spitless

Last month, I explained that it's sometimes in your best interests, as a sales professional, to scare your customers. (See "To Sell More: Scare Your Customers Spitless"). While I was research last Friday's post, "Top 5 Funny Sales Scenes from Hollywood", I stumbled upon this clip from the movie "Other People's Money." In it, a brilliant Danny Devito provides a PERFECT example of how it's sometimes necessary to frighten a customer in order to get them to see reality.

Now, Devito goes a little over the top here, but the screenwriter is using a basically correct technique when it's necessary to get a customer to wake up and smell the coffee. I'm curious how you guys feel about this, so here's a poll:
