Right-wing Keith Jones signed a three-year contract with the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday.
The Flyers did not release terms of the contract with Jones, who became a restricted free agent at the end of last season.
Jones, 30, joined the team last season in a trade that sent Shjon Podein to the Colorado Avalanche. Jones recorded totals of 20 goals and 33 assists for both teams in 1998-99.
"I think Jones became a very big part of the team quickly," team president and general manager Bob Clarke said.
"It's fantastic," Jones said. "I think the Flyers showed a great deal of loyalty in bringing me back and offering me a three-year contract."
In seven seasons in the NHL, the 6-foot-2-inch, 200-pounder has scored 108 goals and registered 125 assists in 426 games with the Flyers, Avalanche and Washington Capitals.
