Today in Cupertino, Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) unveiled version 3.0 of its iPhone operating system. The company offers the phone in 80 countries and sold 13.7 million in 2008, 3.7 million more than its goal. The App Store now contains 25,000 apps and boasted over 800 million downloads within eight months. As for the new firmware's features, users finally will be able to copy and paste, read e-mails and messages in landscape mode, and use search in key applications.
