Man arrested for allegedly shooting at car in Corona
A man was arrested for allegedly shooting at a car in Corona early last week.
According to the Corona Police Department, the incident happened on Tuesday on Promenade Avenue.
Officers were called to the area after a person reported being shot at while driving in the area. They learned that the victim was allegedly side-swiped by the driver of a white Nissan Pathfinder who then confronted the victim at gunpoint.
The victim fled from the area and found nearby officers, who spotted a single gunshot in the rear passenger window of their car.
Investigators successfully located the suspect, identified now as 36-year-old Ruben Durame, at a nearby residence located in the 3900 block of Bennett Avenue. They served a search warrant at the time and found a 9mm handgun inside of his car.
He was arrested without further incident and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning on Wednesday. He was released on Saturday after posting $75,000 bail, records show.
