Robert Prichard of Mesquite has been indicted by a grand jury on a charge of animal cruelty and use of a deadly weapon.
According to the police report, he is alleged to have beaten his pit bull, Candy, in the head with a shovel multiple times, thrown her into his swimming pool, and then used the pool net to drown her while she fought for her life. Baylor football player Ahmad Dixon was arrested on assault charges on 9-17-2013.
The victim stated that Dixon punched him numerous times in his face and head causing pain and injury and a possible concussion. Officers photographed victim’s injuries that included swelling and visible bruises to his face and an injury to his arm and elbow.

Jestin Joseph
On Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at approximately 9:07p.m., Jestin Anthony Joseph entered the McDonald’s at 4800 South Freeway and asked one of the cashiers for a water cup. AP Joseph walked to the drink fountain area where witnesses heard him mumbling. Joseph then displayed a handgun and walked toward various patrons and employees demanding their property. Surveillance video appears to show that Joseph is pulling the trigger of the handgun, but the weapon malfunctions and does not fire.

Tuesday, June 25 marked the end of a long road for two Henderson County fugitives. Joy Lynn Everett and Pete Quinonez had been on the run from law enforcement but finally ran out of road. Everett was convicted in early February 2012 for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Quinonez had an outstanding bond forfeiture for a Possession of a Controlled Substance case as well as a Motion to Revoke pending for failure to pay child support. Both Everrett and Quinonez were taken into custody and transported to the Henderson County Jail. Everett will await transport to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to serve out her sentence and Quinonez will be held on his current pending charges.

A Watauga man has been charged with making a terroristic threat after becoming angry that his child was injured at a babysitter’s residence. The incident began on Monday at 3:30 p.m. when Haltom City Police responded to a report of an injured child at Cook Children’s Hospital. According to police, the child was injured at the babysitter’s residence, an apartment at 5700 N. Beach St. When the child’s father, 29-year-old Javier Payan of Watauga, learned of the situation, he became angry and said he was going to the babysitter’s residence. Payan also made threatening statements about his intentions once he arrived at the residence. Payan was met by police when he arrived at the residence. William Chad Coleman. According to police a mysterious house explosion in Frisco in March was not what it first seemed. The explosion was reported just before 1:00 a.m. in the 6100 block of Arlington Drive, in a residential neighborhood. But the situation originally started as a domestic disturbance call on Monday night. Police arrived at the home shortly before 10:00 p.m. to find the suspect inside with several firearms, according to a news release. That man was identified as 38-year-old William Chad Coleman. Through 911 calls made during the standoff, Coleman had allegedly threatened to come outside “blazing fire.” Officers outside heard loud noises and windows breaking before seeing flames and explosions coming from the home’s garage. Coleman then exited the home and surrendered to authorities. He was taken to the hospital and treated for smoke inhalation, before going to jail and being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Possible arson charges are pending. His bond is currently set at $150,000.

Police say Terrence King had the appearance of being a first responder when he showed up at a firehouse in Plano dressed in a Dallas Fire Rescue uniform. Plano firefighters talked with King for a while, but became suspicious when he asked if he could ride along with them. One telephone call to DFR made it pretty clear King was not a firefighter; the next call was to Dallas police. King was arrested, not for impersonating a firefighter, but for theft. It turns the fire gear King had on was real. Dallas fire officials are now trying to figure out how the man got the uniform from fire station #18 in downtown Dallas. Belinda Barrow. April 3, 2013 10:47 AM. She bolted from court before her guilty verdict, now a North Texas woman is back behind bars. It was two weeks ago that defense lawyers and prosecutors rested in the aggravated robbery case against Belinda Barrow. The jury was deciding her fate, while Barrow apparently wasn’t interested in their decision. “She fled during guilt/innocence, while the jury was deliberating on guilt/innocence. We immediately got the U.S. Marshals [Fugitive] Taskforce on it,” prosecutor Allenna Bangs explained. After the building search for Barrow proved futile authorities soon learned why. A review of surveillance video showed the 38-year-old woman walking away from the courtroom just after the jury began deliberations. While Barrow couldn’t be found the jury returned to the courtroom and the verdict was read – guilty. Barrow was convicted of assaulting and robbing an 82-year-old woman at a senior living center. Lewisville Man Jailed After Ramming Truck Into Denton County Jail. A Lewisville man rejoined his son behind bars after smashing his vehicle into the Denton County jail when his visitation request was denied. Rolando Hernandez arrived at the Denton County Jail Saturday afternoon around 1:00 p.m. to see his son, who has been held on an aggravated robbery charge in the jail since February 6. Deputies quickly determined Hernandez was too intoxicated to allow the visitation and told Hernandez he should not try to drive away. Hernandez did not take their advice and attempted instead to drive his pickup truck into the jail, ramming a fence and hitting a side wall of the jail’s west wing. A domestic incident is believed to have led to the fatal shooting of an Arlington man by his wife overnight. The Arlington Police Department responded to a medical call at about 2 a.m. in the 7200 block of Lake Whitney Drive on Friday, March 8, 2013. Officers and paramedics arrived to find a man in his 40s deceased inside the home with multiple apparent gunshot wounds. Detectives have learned that the man’s wife and his teenage stepdaughter were both home at the time of the incident. They called family members, who in turn called 911 to report the incident. After investigators talked to the witnesses, other family members who came to the house after the shooting, and compared their stories with the crime scene, the victim’s wife was arrested.
