NORTH TEXAS (CBS11 SPORTS) - Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee returning to action after missing all of last season with a knee injury, isn't just focused on his own recovery. A day before the Cowboys leave for training camp in Oxnard, California, Lee spent his day treating kids from the Collin County Boys and Girls Clubs to a sneaker shopping spree at Dick's Sporting Goods in Dallas. It's part of the work he does for the Dream Builders Foundation.

The youngsters were initially given a $100limit on the pair of sneakers of their choice. With this mission so near and dear to his heart, Lee removed the price limit, saying "I know they don't want knockoffs, they want the real thing."

Sean Lee says growing up, if someone had told him he would have a career playing for the Dallas Cowboys, he would've been tickled to death. That is why it's so important for him to do things with the youth in the community that reinforces their belief to shoot for the stars.

His wife Megan says to be able to put a face to the recipients of their charity makes it that much more real. Lee says not having football put a lot of things in perspective for him… including the need to focus on the big picture…that kids are our future.

While most other players would be running last minute errands, packing clothes, and making preparations to leave for camp, Sean Lee is focused on doing the same thing he does on the field… making a difference!!! With winning a Super Bowl as his dream, the other half of that will always be giving back to those who need a helping hand.
