Shakespeare Dallas opens the 2016 season of Shakespeare in the Park with She Stoops to Conquer, the classic by the comedic Irish playwright Oliver Goldsmith. Performances will run today (June 16) through Saturday June 18 and June 29-July 22 every Wednesday – Friday at the Samuell Grand Amphitheater, 1500 Tenison Parkway in Dallas.

Brandon Potter appears as King Richard in the second production of Shakespeare Dallas' 2016 season of Shakespeare in the Park. The classic Richard III will run June 22-26 for the opening week and continue June 29-July 23 every Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday.

This Saturday, June 18 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Operation Kindness is hosting a homecoming event for its "furry alumni" – dogs and cats adopted from the no-kill shelter – and the families who adopted them, and an open house for the public. Guests are invited to learn more about Operation Kindness and enjoy complimentary refreshments, lunch from the grill, the world's largest cake for dogs, tours of the campus and more.

The Heroes for Children annual summer golf tournament is Friday, June 17 at Top Golf in Allen. Guests of all ages are invited to join Heroes for Children to sip drinks, savor tasty bites and participate in a chance to win awards, raffles and prizes during three hours of Top Golf play.

Flavors of Dallas, benefitting the American Liver Foundation is Monday, June 20th. The event will include a roster of chefs from restaurants such as Happiest Hour, Meso Maya, Prime Farm to Table, LUCK at Trinity Groves and more. The chefs will prepare a five-course, tableside meal for tables of 12. Unleash your inner "foodie" and experience a distinct evening of dining while helping to fund the research, education, and advocacy efforts of the American Liver Foundation.

Cool Thursdays at the Dallas Arboretum tonight (Thursday June 16) is Rolling Stones Tribute Satisfaction.

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden invites dads to celebrate this Father's Day weekend with remote control airplane demonstrations and exhibits, as well as sessions with the Perot Museum's TECH Truck Staff. Remote control flights by the North Dallas RC Club will launch every hour on the hour above the Concert Lawn from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, while an exhibit of planes is on display on the Camp House lawn.

Staff from the Perot Museum of Nature and Science's TECH Truck will be in the Rory Meyers Children's Adventure Garden on Saturday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The mobile extension of the Perot Museum will encourage tinkering, engineering, and creating through walk-up sessions.

Families can take advantage of $2 hot dogs and $2 root beer floats from Friday to Monday, while the historic Restaurant DeGolyer will offer Sunday brunch and lunch all weekend. The Arboretum is still featuring The Great Contributors exhibit by Gary Lee Price of eight life-size bronze sculptures throughout the garden.

The Let's Play Gaming Expo is at Plano Centre is Saturday June 18 and Sunday June 19.

Darius Rucker and Dan & Shay are playing Gexa Friday June 17.

Bill Haley Jr and The Comets at the Arlington Music Hall Friday June 17.

Summer Spirits at Dark Hour Haunted House is Friday and Saturday night (June 17-18).
