Irving Police Officer Recovering After On-Duty Motorcycle Collision

IRVING, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - An Irving police officer is recovering after a driver cut off his motorcycle, causing him to crash.

Officer Ellington was on duty riding his police motorcycle when the collision happened. He sustained several injuries, including significant lacerations to his face, a broken wrist, as well as many bruises and contusions throughout his body.

The department shared his story via social media with a reminder for drivers to "always look twice for motorcycles."
