A Glenn Heights church devastated by the December tornadoes is living by faith in God's promise of "bigger and better."

Pastor Ron Adams was on his was home from a Mavericks game in a chartered bus, when he got the word that his church the Ovilla Road Church of Nazarene had been ripped apart by a tornado.

The sanctuary was destroyed, two church vans were flipped and a second building on their property was damaged. But that didn't stop those gathered there that night, standing in the rubble, from holding an impromptu prayer service.

Now, just this week, the re-building has begun.

Adams was overwhelmed with the generosity of the people in the community and the work of the Lord's hand.

Now that the construction has begun he said God continues to provide.

Despite massive changes, the church's members have stayed strong. He said in the eye of such devastation, he and his congregation are filled with a sense of peace. Buts Adams said the greatest miracle was something even bigger.

Adams said that's God's reminder of why they do what they do.
