To ensure a quality experience for all ticket holders, guests 16 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. It is suggested that moviegoers arrive 45 minutes before show time even though seating is reserved. Hulen Movie Tavern's RealD 3D movies have an additional charge. This XD movie theater is similar to iMAX although it is made by Cinemark. The theater has a higher slope, a customized sound system and a wall-to-wall screen that pulls the viewer into the movie.

The Webb Chapel Cinemark iMAX Theatre is a favorite of Dallas moviegoers. In fact, moviegoers from throughout north and east Texas travel miles for the blockbuster movies shown here. Spontaneous line parties are popular, and many of the movie fans dress in costumes to celebrate. Theater manager Luis Duran said, "The 3D effect is even greater with our two projectors. It makes the image deeper. The RealD unit splits the picture in two and the 3D glasses have a polarized left and right eye. You feel like you're in the movie. Our screen is the largest in the metroplex at five stories high and seven stories wide." Although fans may purchase advance tickets, Cinemark does not offer reserve seating. For the Dec. 14 midnight showing, Duran mentioned it has been his experience that moviegoers will bring folding lawn chairs, pads and snacks while waiting the day before at noon until just before midnight. The wait usually turns into a party with new sci-fi friends.

In anticipation of "The Hobbit" Dec. 14 at midnight, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy Marathon held Dec. 8 to 9 beginning at 10 a.m. kicked off the fun. A line party is already planned for the premiere Dec. 14. The manager suggests that fans arrive at noon Dec. 13, for the first show at midnight. Advance tickets are not reserved seats, so it is first come first serve. This theater features RealD viewing that is more detailed, at 48 frames per second for a super-sharp picture. The line party encourages costumes but nothing gory, and masks are not allowed.

In addition to comfort and style, the theater has three screens, DLP Digital Projections and Sound, and recently added its 3D format.
