Aerosmith is like that couple you know from the bar; they're together one minute, and then fighting the next. Everyone knows the relationship isn't always great. No one says anything, of course, because on a purely sadistic level, volatile relationships can be fun to watch. This is sure to be the case when Aerosmith, now in their forth decade as hitmakers, wheels into town for their "Global Warming Tour." Says front man Stephen Tyler, "We're going to kick your butt and make out with your mothers."

Since her debut in 2010, Trinidad-born Nicki Minaj has proven herself a force to be reckoned with in the world of pop music; she's the first female solo artist to have seven singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at the same time. Her fashion sense is outrageous--think Mad Max meets Barbie dream house--and her music is an irresistible fusion of hip-hop and pop. Last February she released her second album and a killer single, "Starships," an energetic tune that oozes up on you like melted ice cream soaking into the bottom of an ice cream cone. Minaj is also no stranger to controversy; she recently pulled out of a concert last minute after a morning DJ made an unsavory comment about her music. The pop star brings her one woman "My Pink Friday" show to Grand Prairie in July.

Evanescence's sound, a rock-metal-goth fusion, has been compared to that of other rockers, like Linkin Park and Lacuna Coil. Whatever it is, it's like crack for their scores of rabid fans. Evanescence has been known to cover other artists as well, doing their own take on anthems by contemporaries like Soundgarden, Korn, and Garbage. The band rocks its crowd into frenzy for one night only in July.

Without Dwight Yoakam, the type of country music now known as "honky tonk" might never have existed. Yoakam, along with George Strait, helped bring the distinct blend of rhythm and melody to the masses, paving the way for interpretations by later artists such as Garth Brooks and Clint Black. The multi-platinum Grammy-winning singer/songwriter/actor/director and country music pioneer releases a much-expected album this summer. It's his first in over seven years, rumored to feature collaborations with rock faves Kid Rock and Beck.

With a spot on the hottest show on TV and a killer single raging on the dance charts, could anyone be hotter than Jennifer Lopez at the moment? Sure, maybe Enrique Iglesias, who seems to be soaring to heights even his legendary musical family probably never imagined. The Latin-influenced superstars team-up with Puerto Rican reggae duo Wisin & Yandel for a sure-to-be-boisterous show at American Airlines Center.

Unbeknownst to Robert Stahl, his body is an empty shell, telepathically controlled by a brain in a jar which was buried long ago under the floorboard of his home in Dallas. Consequently, he can't explain why his days are filled with the urge to write: stories, letters, and articles, whatever. His work can be found at
