Wagging Tail Dog Park is a wonderfully manicured seven-acre park specifically for dogs. Wagging Tail features small and large dog play areas, a quarter-mile walking trail, a deck overlooking White Rock Creek, doggie drinking fountains and so much more. The park is opened from sunup to sundown Tuesday to Sunday. Normally the park is closed on Monday, unless it is an official City of Dallas holiday. You and your pooch will love the landscaping and paintings sprawled throughout the park.

Cedar Ridge Preserve sits 755 feet above the hill country just 20 minutes from downtown Dallas. Cedar Ridge Preserve is a 600-acre natural habitat with about nine miles of trails, native trees, grasses and wildflowers, butterfly gardens, limited picnic areas and wild mammals, birds, insects and reptiles. You can enjoy a great walk and romp with your dog, but make sure you keep them on a short leash and pick up after your dog.

Fort Woof Dog Park is operated by the City of Fort Worth Parks and Community Services Department as a way to help pet lovers with getting their dog out for a good time. Your dog needs to have a license to enjoy the park (call 817-392-3737 for details). You and your dog will love separate large and small dog areas, picnic tables, a half-mile walking trail and water spigots. They even host wonderful events such as Doggie Dash.

Now considered a preserve for the forest of Chinquapin, Bur and Shumard oaks, Spring Creek Forest Preserve has trees ranging from 100-300 years old that soar more than 100 feet.
