Contemporary art galleries in DFW offer a wide range of art from western-inspired to vibrant, geometrically-lit pieces that mesmerize. The modernist Valley House Gallery has been in the Vogel family since 1954. Renovated in 2004, Cheryl and Kevin Vogel moved in a year later. Considered one of Dallas' finest art venues, the gallery represents established and emerging contemporary artists including Vera Barnett, Mark Messersmith and Anne Weary. Located in far North Dallas, the Valley House Gallery and Sculpture Garden sits on almost five woodland acres. It also maintains an inventory of late 19th and 20th century American and European art, and collects historically significant early Texas art. For the inquiring collector, the gallery owners provide 50 years of experience.

Talley Dunn Gallery exhibits groundbreaking, contemporary art by both established and up-and-coming artists. The gallery organizes year-round exhibitions and collaborates with museums and galleries throughout the country. Its 23 artists are encouraged through exhibition programs, conversations with museum curators and art critics from the United States and Europe. Located in the central part of Dallas near Highland Park's Dallas Country Club, the gallery is in the perfect location for dining out and shopping while finding an exciting work of art. Talley Dunn Gallery is also a member of the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) from New York.

Located in the heart of the Dallas Design District, Banks Fine Art is an accomplished gallery specializing in 19th and mid-century modern paintings. The gallery works come from both American and European artists. Some of the artists featured include Johann Berthelsen, Jasper F. Cropsey, Edouard-Leon Cortes, Marcel Dyf and Eugene Galien-Laloue. Mid-century modern masters presented at the gallery include Chagall, Miro, Picasso, Charles Levier and Bill Parker. Also on display are works by select present-day artists like Marty Ricks, Jan Bain and Ron Goldfinger. Visit the gallery to see the progression of art from over 100 years.

Jacques Lamy Art Gallery showcases artworks by recognized American and European artists from the 19th and 20th centuries. Lamy is a discerning art collector with an affinity for post-impressionists, the school of Paris and the American and European abstract movements. Born in Paris, he is a classically-trained artist who received the coveted Prix de Rome award for painting. Located in the Dallas Design district and filled with a variety of art galleries, it is the perfect place to shop for your next piece of art.

Open since 1980, Artspace111 features emerging and mid-career Texas contemporary artists. Working in a variety of media including sculpture, mixed media, found object, photography and oil on canvas, the 26 artists are humorous, dramatic, inspiring and always interesting. Some of those featured include Barbara Dybala, JC Pace III, Ann Ekstrom, Jo LeMay Rutledge, Cindi Holt, Michael Bane, Kelli Holmes and Frankenstein images from Leslie Lanzotti. Located in an historic warehouse building on the outskirts of Fort Worth, Artspace111 is an engaging and memorable place to visit.
