A reinforcing shot of cold air arrived Sunday, dangerous wind chills across Colorado through Tuesday morning
Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect through 9 AM Tuesday
Temperatures from 10 above to 10 below zero with very cold wind chills as low as 25 below are expected. This includes the Denver metro area. The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. If you must go outside, dress in several layers of warm clothing, including a hat, face mask, and gloves. Do your best to avoid prolonged outdoor time.
The real story arrived Sunday night as another weak front brought colder air. As of now, Mondays high will remain in the single digits with afternoon wind chills around -10 degrees.
Tuesday morning is the coldest of the Arctic blast
Temperatures will drop 10 degrees below zero on Tuesday morning with wind chills roughly 20-30 below. The arctic air will move out on Tuesday with temperature finally above the freezing mark by noon. This will mark the end of the event!
