Man rescued after falling from boat into water at Chicago's Burnham Harbor
CHICAGO (CBS) — A man was taken to the hospital after falling into the water from a tourist yacht Sunday morning at Burnham Harbor.
It happened just before 7 a.m. in the 1800 block of South Burnham Harbor Drive.
An employee of the popular Anita Dee tourist yacht was exiting the boat when he slipped off the snowy dock and fell into the water.
Chicago Fire Department paramedics found the 27-year-old man in the icy water behind the boat. They quickly pulled him out, put him in an ambulance, and rushed him to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was in good condition.
No other injuries were reported.
A spokesperson for the harbor said the man has since been released from the hospital.
