LA GRANGE PARK, Ill. (CBS) -- Investigators late Thursday were trying to determine why a sport-utility vehicle smashed through the wall of a Dollar Tree store in west suburban La Grange Park.

At 12:42 p.m., the La Grange Park Fire Department was called to the multi-tenant strip mall at 355 N. La Grange Rd. after the SUV slammed into the discount store.

The front of the vehicle and the debris landed near the checkout lanes at the Dollar Tree, but no injuries to customers or staff were reported.

The driver of the SUV was treated on the scene by paramedics, but did not have to go to the hospital, the fire department said.

One firefighter was also taken to UChicago Medicine AdventHealth La Grange Hospital for a foot injury. He was injured while removing debris from the area so a towing company could take the SUV away. His condition was not known late Thursday.

There was a similar incident at the same Dollar Tree just a few months ago.
