Harford County Public Schools delayed Monday due to icy road conditions
BALTIMORE -- Harford County Public Schools will open two hours late Monday, Feb. 3 due to icy road conditions, according to district officials.
Temperatures dropped into the lower 30s overnight Sunday in parts of Maryland.
The forecast is expected to fluctuate between mild and chilly conditions, according to The First Alert Weather Team.
On Monday, temperatures are expected to reach the mid-to-upper 50s in the afternoon. In a few locations, temperatures may even reach the 60s.
Temperatures should stay mild Tuesday with highs in the 50s, but a cold front Tuesday night into Wednesday will bring a drop into the lower 30s.
A developing system could bring a wintry mix to parts of Maryland by Wednesday afternoon.
Winter weather in Maryland
Maryland saw its first major snowstorm of the season on Jan. 5, with parts of the state receiving an estimated 3 to 12 inches of snow.
The winter storm brought the biggest snowfall since 2022 for the Baltimore region. BWI Airport measured about 6.6 inches of snow.
Parts of the state saw more snowfall on Jan. 19, followed by days of bitter cold temperatures and wind chills in the single digits.
