BALTIMORE - Two people were injured in a crash that shut down northbound lanes of I-95 in Harford County for at least two hours Sunday, according to Maryland State police.

The crash occurred past Exit 80 at Maryland 543 around 2:12 p.m.

A preliminary investigation revealed the driver of a Jeep was traveling northbound near the Maryland House when they hit the back of a Kia, police said.

The Jeep skidded off the left side of the road and went up an embankment, hitting a tree on the passenger side, according to police.

Two people were transported to a hospital and no one in the Kia was injured, police said.

Lanes reopened around 6 p.m.
