Will Fast 7 Continue?

Tragic news hit many of our homes over the weekend  as we learned of Fast and Furious actor Paul Walker's death.

At the time of his death, Walker was in the middle of production on Fast and Furious 7.  Now producers are grappling with whether or not to continue work on the film.  Will it continue shooting or cease altogether?

Walker had been in Atlanta recently filming the latest  Fast and Furious where our city has actually been home to a few Fast films. Shooting was scheduled to return to Atlanta after the Thanksgiving break on Dec. 1 before moving to Abu Dhabi later this month.

It was rumored that shooting would continue on Monday, but those plans have been canceled. According to Gwinnett Daily Post:

"Director James Wan, producer Neal Moritz and Universal Pictures executives had been on the phone continually since the tragic news of the actors' fatal car accident hit on Saturday evening. The full implications of Paul Walker's death for "Fast & Furious 7" won't be determined until its cast and crew has had a chance to grieve, but plans to restart the shoot Monday in Atlanta after a holiday break have been scrapped."

It sounds like Fast 7 won't be thrown away just delayed while friends and family mourn and plans are re-arranged.

The production was more than halfway complete before Walker's car accident.

It was reported that Roger Rodas, the driver, and Walker decided to test drive a Porsche at the actor's Reach Out Worldwide charity event Saturday afternoon in Santa Clarita, Cali. stated Walker was a passenger in the car that crashed and instantly became engulfed with flames. Walker and Rodas were both pronounced dead.

Since the accident, fans, Fast cast members, family and friends from all over have gathered around the crash site to mourn. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of Walker and Rodas.
