Waffle House Calls For Boycott Of Belgian Waffles Ahead Of US-Belgium World Cup Match
NORCROSS, Ga. (CBS Atlanta) -- The Waffle House is showing its patriotism by calling for a boycott of Belgian waffles ahead of Tuesday's World Cup match between the U.S.-Belgium.
"We don't believe in Belgium waffles," the restaurant chain posted on Twitter.

A spokesperson for the Waffle House tells TMZ that they support a boycott on the un-American waffles.
"We support a boycott on Belgian waffles," the spokesperson told TMZ. "We support America. We don't support Belgian waffles."
Waffle House doesn't serve Belgian waffles, instead offering sweet-cream waffles.
"We're America's place to eat, so of course we're supporting Team USA," a chain representative told Entertainment Weekly.
The U.S. Soccer team faces Belgium Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET. If the U.S. advances in the Round of 16, they will then advance to the quarterfinals Saturday to face the winner of Argentina-Switzerland.
