The Morning Sports News: 'Partnership Extended'

The long-term future of the Falcons front office is now a lot more clear with the team Monday extending GM Thomas Dimitroff for three more seasons.  It means his contract expires at the same time as Dan Quinn, Quinn says he supports the decision, Hugh said "Congratulations to Thomas Dimitroff, because Thomas just got paid, I'm happy for him."  As for Sunday's game at Philadelphia, the Falcons began their game week practices Monday, Desmond Trufant did not practice as he seeks a second opinion for his shoulder injury.

The Seahawks have dropped the Falcons to third in the NFC after beating Buffalo 31-25 Monday. The game was marred by an end of first half sequence where Richard Sherman intentionally jumped offsides, roughed the kicker and the Bills got no points.
