Opening day at the Georgia Dome for the Falcons Sunday turned into a Jameis Winston show, as Tampa beats the Falcons 31-24 thanks to four Winston touchdown passes. Hugh said "There were key plays that gave the Bucs momentum and they took advantage of them, which was the difference in the game." Matt Ryan had 334 yards and a touchdown, but had to settle for field goals on three of four trips to the red zone. The Falcons were also done in by ill timed penalties 74 yards in all, and just 42 rush yards combined from Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman.
UGA struggled Saturday in a 26-24 win of Nicholls, Hugh said "Nicholls played well, Georgia got the win, but the way they played defensively really had me shaking my head."
