Stage Grand Opening Concert On The Green At Crabapple Market

MILTON, Ga. (CW69 News at 10)

PRESS RELEASE:

Crabapple Market brings more entertainment and activities to the Heart of Milton

The Stage on the Green opens this Saturday, October 16, 2021, in downtown Crabapple with a flourish – or, to be more specific, with great music, great food and great fun. The final touches to the landscape and stage are occurring this week and the grand opening concert will take place between 6 to 10 p.m. on October 16. Anyone is welcome to attend free of charge.

Crabapple Market, which owns the Green and built the stage, is hosting and organizing the event. The City of Milton
serves as a promotional partner as part of its role in Meet Me in Milton, a series of public events meant to entertain,
engage and foster community.

Opening acts provided by students and instructors from Bach to Rock, America's Music School located in the Silos at
Crabapple, from 6 to 7:15 p.m. There will be a short ceremony that will include a blessing, ribbon cutting, dedications of
sculptural art pieces which will then be followed by the night's headliner, the Decades Band of Georgia, performing hit
songs from the 60's, '70s, '80s and beyond.

To compliment the show, attendees can enjoy dinner and desert from 3 amazing food trucks or one of Crabapple
Market's restaurants – Olde Blind Dog. Olde Blind Dog and Milton Wine & Crystal will have adult beverages for sale.
There will be a commemorative cocktail available in an LED co-branded take home acrylic glass. Non-alcoholic options
available in the LED glass for the little ones. (No outside food or beverages, please.)

In between bites, attendees can visit the tents from Crabapple Market merchants, play cornhole and other lawn games
set up on the Green or purchase "Heart of Milton" merchandise. People can bring their own chairs and blankets to the
Green (while tents and tables are not permitted). Parking available around Crabapple Market and behind City Hall.
For up-to-date details, check out the event's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/events/143457014654809.

The Stage sits along Heritage Walk in downtown Milton, behind Crabapple Market's original buildings and across from
City Hall. After getting the required approvals from the City, construction began last summer on the stage. It should be a
focal point on the Green, a grassy area for events and public use, for years to come.
