Skyhawks Head Coach Will Miss Regular Season Opener

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. (CW69 News at 10) -- The College Park Skyhawks announced on Tuesday that Head Coach Steve Gansey has entered league-mandated health and safety protocols and will not coach the team during their NBA G League regular-season opener on Wednesday, Jan. 5 at the Long Island Nets or on Jan. 7 and 8 at the Lakeland Magic.

Assistant Coach Ronnie Burrell will coach the team in Long Island and Assistant Coach Jacob Porter will coach the team in Lakeland.

The Skyhawks home opener is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 11, against the Grand Rapids Gold.

The College Park Skyhawks are the NBA G League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks and play home games at the Gateway Center Arena at College Park.
