Sam Worthington is back as the hero Perseus on a new quest - to rescue his father, Zeus. Ares, the God of War, and Zeus's brother, Hades, have unleashed a plot to use the powerful Titans to destroy Zeus. Perseus must stop them in time or the human race will cease to exist. What to Watch For: The star, Sam Worthington has promised that the sequel to 2010s Clash of Titans will surpass the original with better story-lines and cooler special effects.

Word on the Street: Will fan-boys come out to see a sequel to a film that didn't exactly set the box office on fire, especially with the mega-hit, The Hunger Games, showing no signs of slowing down?

Mirror Mirror (2012)

This film is a new take on the old fairy tale Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Julia Roberts plays the evil queen who has stolen control over a kingdom. Her only threat is an exiled princess, Lily Collins, who enlists the aid of seven small rebels and a handsome huntsman, Armie Hammer, to help her win her birthright back by defeating the evil queen. What to Watch For: The studio raced to release Mirror Mirror before the more serious Snow White and the Huntsman is released. Are audiences ready for a fairy tale comedy?

Word on the Street: Armie Hammer as the Huntsman is said to steal the movie from his bigger cast mates, Julia Roberts and Nathan Lane.

W. E. (2012)

This film explores the love affair that shocked the world - the romance between American divorcee, Wallis Simpson, and the man she fell in love with, the soon to be King, Edward VIII. W.E. is intercut with a contemporary romance between an unhappily married woman and a security guard at Sotheby's Auction House. W.E. website

What to Watch For: Madonna co-wrote and directed the film, her second time to take the helm. Her first was Filth and Wisdom in 2008.

Word on the Street: The film was nominated for, but did not win, Best Achievement in Costume Design. The film did win a Golden Globe for Best Original Song.

6:30 p.m. Landmark Midtown Art Cinema

Passport: Panama (2012)

Actress-musician Tatyana Ali takes a trip to Panama in this documentary to explore her family's rich history in the area. On her journey, she takes in a jam session with Latin Grammy winner Los Rabanes and discovers more than she expected about her family.

Note: Actress Tatyana Ali will be in attendance at the screening.

7:15 p.m. Landmark Midtown Art Cinema

The Booker (2012)

This film is a documentary about Steve Scarborough whose dream is to start a professional wrestling league, Platinum Championship Wrestling. The movie follows Steve as he transitions from teaching wrestling in a theatre space with just four students to hosting a match, four years later, in a 2,500 seat arena.

Note: Director Mike Perkins and star Steve Scarborough will be in attendance at the screening.

9:30 p.m. Landmark Midtown Art Cinema

Speechless (Sin Palabras) (2011)

Raul lives alone, works at a hardware store and is unhappy with how his life has turned out. With a chance encounter, he meets a girl, Lian, who only speaks Chinese, and they soon forge a friendship. Even though they don't speak each others' language, they eventually fall in love. Their love may not last though, as Raul learns that Lian is in the country illegally and may soon be forced to leave for the United States.

West is West (2011)

In a sequel to the internationally acclaimed 1999 film East is East, this film is set in 1975 Northern England where the youngest son of the Kahn family, Sajid, is not doing well in school and is failing his religious studies. His father decides that it is best for Sajid to be sent back to Pakistan. The catch, though, is that Sajid is going to be sent to his father's family, a family that his father abandoned more than 25 years ago so he could move to England.

7:45 p.m. Landmark Midtown Art Cinema

The Ways of Wine (El Camino Del Vino) (2011)

A world famous sommelier, Charlie Arturaola, arrives in Argentina to take part in a glamorous wine event. In the midst of the event, he realizes that he has lost his palate and his ability to judge wines. He decides to take a journey through the small vineyards in the Argentina countryside to try to rediscover not only his passion for wine, but confidence to continue his career.

Note: Actors Charlie Arturaola and Pandora Anwyl will be in attendance at the screening.

My Best Day

Karen's life as a small town receptionist is forever changed when she receives a call from a customer who turns out to be her long lost father. That one call starts a chain of events that turn Karen's life upside down.
