What to Watch For:  The film's plot is based on the 2013 reboot of the video game series.

Word on the Street:  Daisy Ridley, Emilia Clarke, Saoirse Ronan and Cara Delevingne were all considered for the Lara Croft role before Alicia Vikander was cast. Daisy Ridley turned down the part when she got hired for Star Wars: Episode IX.

My Take: I have been a fan of Alicia Vikander since her role in the 2014 film Ex Machina.
