What to Watch For: This is the thirteenth film in the Star Trek franchise and the third film in the reboot series.

Word on the Street: The film was co-written by Simon Pegg, who plays Scotty in the movie.

My Take:  It's going to be a little sad to watch this film because of the untimely death of Anton Yelchin (Chekov).

What to Watch For:  The film has an outstanding voice cast, including Jennifer Lopez, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah, Jessie J, Max Greenfield, Jessie Tyler Ferguson, Nick Offerman, Melissa Rauch and Seann William Scott.

Word on the Street: This is Jessie Tyler Ferguson's first animated film, and he blew out his voice on the first day of recording because he had to yell so much. It took a few days before he could get back into the studio.

My Take:  Interesting tidbit: the drawings that are part of the end credits were done by the children of Blue Sky employees, the company producing the film.

What to Watch For:  The film is based on a short film that director David F. Sandberg did in 2013.

Word on the Street: The screenwriter on this film, Eric Heisserer, is writing the much-anticipated film, "Van Helsing."

My Take:  I am very excited to see this movie because the trailer looks horrifying.

Word on the Street:  Jennifer Saunders started working on the script back in 2012.

My Take:  I was a big fan of the BBC TV series, so you know I will see this film.

Word on the Street: Matt Ross was awarded 'director to watch" at this year's Palm Springs International Film Festival.

My Take:  Two of my favorite actresses are in the cast, Kathryn Hahn, and  Missi Pyle.

Word on the Street: The director of the film, Michel Gondry, is known for his films, "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" (2004), "The Science of Sleep" (2006), and "Mood Indigo" (2013).

My Take:  This film looks hilarious.
