What to Watch For: There are references to both the 1988 film Big and the Netflix series Stranger Things in the film.

Word on the Street: They have been trying to make this film since the mid-2000s.

My Take: I love superhero movies, so I am really looking forward to this film.

What to Watch For: First-time writer/director Robin Bissell is known for producing The Hunger Games, Just Add Water and Seabiscuit.

Word on the Street; The film was shot in Georgia including Rosa's Diner in Cartersville and the American Legion in Tucker.

My Take: This should be a fun movie to watch. I love both lead actors.

Pet Sematary (2019) R

What to Watch For: Five different cats played the cat named Church in the film. All five were rescues and all five were adopted by the cast and crew after the film wrapped.

Word on the Street: The cast includes Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, and John Lithgow.

My Take: This movie looks incredibly scary.

The Mustang (2019) R

Roman (Matthias Schoenaerts) is a violent convict who has just come out of isolation. His prison trains wild mustangs to sell to the public. Roman is assigned to work with the Mustangs and he becomes attached to a very wild, maybe un-trainable Mustang. This experience will change Roman's life. The Mustang Website

What to Watch For: The movie is based on real Mustang programs that exist in four states.

Word on the Street: The film won an award at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.

My Take: I've heard a lot of good things about this film from other film critics.

The film opens Friday in the Atlanta area.

What to Watch For: Emilio Estevez stars in the film as well as writing and directing the film.

Word on the Street: The outstanding cast includes Jena Malone, Gabrielle Union, Alec Baldwin, Christian Slater, and Taylor Schilling.

My Take: I have really like the films that Emilio Estevez has directed especially The Way and Bobby.

The film opens Friday exclusively at Landmark Midtown Art Cinema

The Cable Guy (1996) Steven (Matthew Broderick), having been kicked out of his girlfriend's apartment, finds a new place to live. The Cable Guy (Jim Carrey) comes to install cable and decides that Steven is his new best friend. At first, Steven goes along for the ride, but soon The Cable Guy's attention becomes more than Steven can stand. The Cable Guy has decided that if Steven doesn't want to be friends, they can now be mortal enemies.
