"Robocop" (2014)

In the near future, the United States is the last country in the world to not use some sort of robotic police force. When Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman), a loving father and good cop, is critically injured in the line of duty, the corporation behind most of the world's robotic police force, OmniCorp, sees an opportunity. They plan on using what is left of Murphy to create a one man police force called, Robocop. "Robocop" Website

What to Watch For: The film has an impressive supporting cast in Michael Keaton, Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson and Jackie Earle Haley.

Word on the Street: The Sci-Fi fanboys have been pouring over leaked photos of the Robocop armor for the past year. Will the film live up to the hype?

My Take: I have fond memories of the original "Robocop" (1987). The question is will this version be campy like the original or will it go all out to be a serious Sci-Fi action film?

"About Last Night" (2014)

Follow two couples (Michael Ealy and Joy Bryant, Kevin Hart and Regina Hall) from the bar scene to the bedroom, as they cope with dating in modern-day downtown L.A.. "About Last Night" Website

What to Watch For: Will Kevin Hart's recent box office success with "Ride Along" (2014) continue with this film?

Word on the Street: The film is filled with some rising stars as Hart, Hall and Ealy, all who have a number of high profile projects in the film pipeline.

My Take: The best part of the original About Last Night (1986) film was the opening running dialogue between Rob Lowe's and Jim Belushi's characters. Will this remake have a similar scene to open the film? I hope so.

Endless Love

"Endless Love" (2014)

Jade (Gabriella Wilde) is a socialite who has always lived a privileged life, protected from the outside by her parents. Jade's world is changed when she meets David (Alex Pettyler) a boy whom her parents don't approve. "Endless Love" Website

What to Watch For: Will this make Alex Pettyler a star after his box office bombs of "Beastly" (2011) and "I Am Number Four" (2011)?

Word on the Street: Fans of the original film ,"Endless Love (1991), want to know how much of the story line has been changed to update it to the present.

My Take: I think I am more excited for the single from the movie than the movie, itself. It's a remake of Robert Palmer's, "Addicted to Love" by Florence + The Machine.

"Winter's Tale" (2014)

In 1916, a thief (Colin Farrell) breaks into a mansion and encounters a dying woman (Jessica Brown Findlay). He soon falls in love with her, but then she dies. He learns that he has the gift of reincarnation and seeks to find her in the present day. "Winter's Tale" Website

What to Watch For: Tom Hiddleston, Garrett Hedlund, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Luke Evans, Liam Hemsworth and Benjamin Walker were all considered for the role before Colin Farrell got it.

Word on the Street: Fans of "Downton Abbey" will be excited to see Jessica Brown Findlay in this role. She played Lady Sybil Branson (nee Crawley) in the series.

My Take: Looks like a good date night movie for Valentine's Day to me.

If you can't make it to the theatre this weekend, stay at home and watch movies on CW69 this weekend.
