The zombies are back and Alice (Milla Jovovich) is once again out to hunt down those responsible for releasing them. This time though, friends and foes from her past are reappearing and are determined to stop her. Resident Evil Retribution website

What to Watch For: Actors are back from past "Resident Evil" films, including Michelle Rodriquez; who told producers after she died in the first film that they would regret killing off her character and apparently it's true because she is back with a vengeance in this film.

Word on the Street: Currently, there are plans for a sixth installment with several scenes that will be inspired by the bestselling "Resident Evil" video games.

My View: Action film fans are excited about this film as the producers and director were inspired by Thai action films; which use a high energy, bone-crunching style of fighting.

Finding Nemo 3D (2012)

This is an animated classic adventure that involves the father and son clown fish, Marlin (Albert Brooks) and Nemo (Alexander Gould). After Nemo is taken by a human diver, Marlin must make a dangerous journey to try and save his son. Finding Nemo 3D website

What to Watch For: Disney/Pixar has taken the 2003 Oscar winning picture and has re-released it in 3D.

Word on the Street: Disney/Pixar is re-releasing the film to garner interest for the currently filming "Finding Nemo 2" under the helm of writer/director, Andrew Stanton.

My Take: Truly one of the great animated films of all time. It will be a pleasure to see it on the big screen again.

Arbitrage (2012)

Hedge fund manager Robert Miller (Richard Gere) has a number of secrets that are threatening to bring down his world. Now, he makes the one mistake that could cost someone their life and could ruin everything he has worked for. Arbitrage website

What to Watch For: Shortly before filming started, Nate Parker replaced rapper Drake in the key role of Jimmy Grant, a man whom Robert turns to for help.

Word on the Street: Richard Gere is said to be in the running for a Best Actor nomination for this film.

My View: Britt Marling who plays the daughter of Gere's character and his heir apparent, is on a hot streak after last year's critically well received films, "Another Earth" and "Sound of My Voice."

Searching for Sugar Man (2012)

This documentary is about a little known, late 1960's recording artist Rodriquez, whose music became a huge hit and made him the most important music figure in South Africa. In the 1990's, two South African writers set out to discover what happened to their musical hero. The rumor was that he committed suicide on-stage as a form of protest. What to Watch For: Rodriquez's music has been re-released due to the popularity of this film.

Word on the Street: The film won a number of awards at major film festivals, such as the Sundance Film Festival and certainly is in the mix for Best Documentary at the next Academy Awards.

My Take: One of the best films that I saw at the Los Angeles Film Festival this past summer, where it won the Audience Award.

If you can't make it to the theatre this weekend, stay at home and watch movies on CW69.
