Office Christmas Party Official Trailer 2 (2016) - Jennifer Aniston Movie by Rotten Tomatoes Trailers on YouTube

When the CEO (Jennifer Aniston) tries to close the company branch that her hard-partying brother (T. J. Miller), he and his Chief Technical Officer (Jason Bateman) decide to host the office Christmas party to end all parties.  If the clients have a good time, it just might save the branch office. What to Watch For:  The principal photography was done in Atlanta and Hiram, GA.

Word on the Street:  The part of the CEO was written specifically for Jennifer Aniston.

My Take:  The cast, which includes Kate McKinnon, Olivia Munn, Courtney B. Vance, Rob Corddry and Vanessa Bayer, make this film one to see.

Miss Sloane  (2016)

Elizabeth Sloane (Jessica Chastain) is considered the best and most formidable lobbyist in Washington D.C. She decides to take on the most powerful opponent of her career, the "gun lobby." Just how far is Elizabeth willing to go to win? "Miss Sloane" Website

What to Watch For:  The director of the film, John Madden, had worked with Jessica Chastain on The Debt and personally handed her this script to read.

Word on the Street: The film was ranked in the top 5 of Hollywood's 2015 Black List.

My Take:  Besides Chastain, two other Oscar nominees are in the cast: John Lithgow and Sam Waterston.

THINGS TO COME - Official HD Trailer (2017) - A film By Mia Hansen-Løve by PalaceFilms on YouTube

Nathalie (Isabelle Huppert) is a married woman who works as a philosophy teacher. In a short amount of time, she will go through some troubling events that will test her will and faith. "Things to Come" Website

What to Watch For:  The film has been nominated at numerous film festivals and Mia Hansen-Love won Best Director at both the Berlin International Film Festival and the Bucharest International Film Festival.

What to Watch For:  Many film critics feel that Huppert gives an Oscar caliber performance.

My Take:  I can't believe that Huppert has never been nominated for an Oscar and she has only won one (out of fifteen) Cesar Award (France's Academy Awards).

If you can't make it to the theatre this weekend, then stay at home and watch movies on Atlanta's CW.
