Metro Atlanta Stores Launch Holiday Shopping Season, Black Friday Deals
WOODSTOCK, Ga. (CW69 News at 10) -- It's officially holiday shopping season in Metro Atlanta. Customers cashed in on some early Black Friday deals at The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta this past weekend.
Shoppers chimed in on how the outlet put out Christmas decorations weeks before Thanksgiving. "Please let Thanksgiving pass before we start putting up Christmas," one customer joked. "We love it, It's great," said another customer, who added he's fine with spreading a little early Christmas cheer.
The outlet held a Holiday Block Party, ushering in the holiday shopping season. The early decorations went up just in time for those early Black Friday bargains, which include lots of deals that vary from day to day. Business owners welcome the season. "We're very excited about it, considering we are a small business and family run," said Marbela Cosmetics Founder Josefina Rodriguez, who sells handmade soaps. Stores will have lights, ornaments and sale signs up for a while, and customers, whether they like it or not, are sure to find a few sightings of the all-famous Elf on the Shelf.
The sun may go down a little early now for daylight savings time, but shoppers around Metro Atlanta will tell you they don't need much light to find the best deal. All it takes is the right bargain to brighten up the holiday season.
