FCSO Hosting Virtual Domestic Violence Prevention Training

ATLANTA, Ga. (CW69 News at 10)


Fulton County Sheriff Patrick "Pat" Labat and the Fulton County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) are hosting a virtual domestic violence prevention safety training in observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

When: Wednesday, October 27th

                                                                  6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

What: October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. According to the Georgia Commission on Family Violence, Georgia recently ranked in the top ten states in the nation for its rate of men killing women. The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence reports, one in three women, have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner. It is the goal of this training to provide education, to help prevent women and men from becoming victims of domestic violence, and share resources available to those who need assistance.
